Privacy notice
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This notice explains how Curinta handles personal data on curinta.com, trendlines.curinta.com and the Humanitarian Trendlines monthly update. We collect as little as we can and never sell or share it for marketing.
Who is responsible
Curinta Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14196801), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ, is the data controller. Contact: contact@curinta.com.
What we collect and why
Monthly update. If you subscribe, we collect:
your email address;
the date and time you signed up and confirmed;
the IP address you signed up from;
whether you open our emails and click links.
We use this only to send you the monthly update, keep a record of your consent, and understand which content is useful. We never ask for your name, organisation or anything else.
Emails to us. If you email contact@curinta.com, we use your details only to reply.
Websites. trendlines.curinta.com uses no cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. curinta.com is hosted by Squarespace, which uses essential cookies to run the site and, only if you agree via the cookie banner, analytics cookies to tell us how the site is used. Our hosting providers process IP addresses briefly to deliver the sites and protect them from attacks.
Legal basis
For the monthly update, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR). We use double opt-in, so you are only added after you click the confirmation link in our email. For running and securing the websites, we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping them available and safe (Article 6(1)(f)). Analytics cookies on curinta.com are set only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). When you email us, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who processes your data for us
MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania, EU) stores the subscriber list and sends the emails.
Cloudflare hosts trendlines.curinta.com.
Squarespace hosts curinta.com.
Microsoft (Microsoft 365) hosts our email.
Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Some of these providers process data in the United States. Those transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only a minimal record that you unsubscribed, so we don’t email you again. Signups that are never confirmed are deleted within 30 days. Emails to us are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, or you can write to contact@curinta.com. We’ll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). If you live in the EU, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Other points
We don’t make automated decisions about you or build profiles. The update isn’t aimed at children under 16. If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll tell subscribers by email.
